This piece is about the moment we lose our human version. Maybe the strong one. Maybe the weak one. The version that felt everything too much, or the one that felt nothing at all.

The skeleton is smiling. Surrounded by cartoon chaos, flowers, hearts, angels, noise. Because even in death, the world doesn’t stop being loud, cute, messy, beautiful. We die, but the noise lives on.

I drew this to remember that killing off an old self isn’t dark. Sometimes it’s the only way to stay alive. The heart is still glowing in the ribcage. The eye is a galaxy. You’re not gone. You just evolved.

Original mixed media illustration on paper. Hand-drawn with alcohol markers and colored pencils. No prints, no digital. Every character around the skull was drawn to show that joy and death share the same space.
